CORNWALLS FIRST EVER BLUE AND WHITE BALL A SUCCESS FOR CHARITY

Local charity Citizens Advice Cornwall would like to thank everyone who came along to their first ever Blue and White Ball last Friday.

The event bought the charity together with local businesses and the general public helping creating awareness of the charities work as well as raising vital funds.

The Auction raised in excess of £1600 on the evening with prizes donated by St Austell Brewery, Tremont Hotel, St Aubyns Estates, Bolitho Estates, Mylor Yacht Holidays, Trebah Gardens, Sipsmith Gin, Trewithen Gardens and Adele Hart Jewellery.

The Envelope raffle sold out before dinner began with participants winning prizes donated by the Alverton Hotel, Tarquins Gin, Salcombe Gin, Trago, Rhoda’s, Tregothnan, the Cornish Hamper Store, the Cornish Company and the Cornish Candy Shoppe.

Tickets for next year event, at The Penventon Hotel, Redruth on 22 September 2023, are already on sale with all profits from the event again benefiting Cornish Charity Citizens Advice Cornwall. Tickets are £60 per ticket or £550 for a table of 10 and the price includes a three course meal, magician and dancing.

Citizens Advice Cornwall is a charity providing free, independent and confidential advice on a wide range of subjects for everyone in the community. Their vital services include advice on welfare benefits, debt, housing, relationship issues, employment and redundancy, consumer, legal issues and more.

Last year Citizens Advice helped over 9,000 people in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly writing-off debt worth over £1 million and gaining income worth £8.1 million.
