16 Dec FESTIVE FAMILY EVENT AT BREWERY RAISES FUNDS FOR CHARITY
St Austell Brewery played host to Mrs Claus and her elves last weekend as part of a Christmas Evening raising funds for local charity Citizens Advice Cornwall.
The event, which took place on Saturday, also featured performances from 4 Real Dance, Champagne Chorus Choir, 4FS Dance and Maids of Melody Choir.
Community Fundraising Manager, Tamsin Chapman-Gunner said: “It was lovely to be able to put on a festive evening for families whilst also raising funds for the charity. We were delighted to receive support for the event not only from St Austell Brewery but also local businesses such as Cornwall Football Golf, Wheal Martyn and Sweat Cornwall. A big thanks to our sponsor Your Partnerships, to Claire from St Austell Tesco for doing the glitter tattoos and also to St Austell Asda and St Austell Lions for their donations to the elf workshop and raffle respectively.
“It is fantastic being able to get out in the community and do events again, helping us to raise more funds to be able to meet the growing need for our services.”
Chief Executive Gill Pipkin added: “At a time when there is so much gloom around, this event provided a welcome boost. The choirs and dance group provided seasonal cheer and the elf workshop and Mrs Claus provided a little bit of magic for children and adults alike. Thank you to all who supported us by attending and sponsoring this event. Our team at Citizens Advice Cornwall wish you all a Happy Christmas and hope for a better 2023”
