We have a vacancy for a Human Resources Officer

 

Citizens Advice Cornwall are looking to recruit an exceptional and highly organised individual with proven administration & HR experience to support our Human Resources department. This role will be central to the running of the organisation’s HR function and provide direct support and assistance to the HR Manager.

 

You will act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from our volunteers, employees and external partners. Some other main duties will include maintaining personnel records, managing HR records (e.g., employment records, DBS checks, internal HR procedures), preparing HR documents for approval and updating internal databases.

 

This role will also additionally provide support to the Senior Management Team (SMT) with confidential matters and activities.

 

What we offer:

  • Salary: FTE £26,000 – £30,500 (Band C) per annum.

We have a vacancy for a Team Lead at our Camborne office. 

 

Reporting to the Advice Services Manager, the Team Lead will oversee the effective and efficient operation of their assigned team, ensuring a safe, organised, and professional environment for clients, volunteers, and employees.

 

As a key member of CA Cornwall’s leadership, you will be responsible for line-managing a team of paid staff and/or volunteers, supporting and coordinating recruitment, induction, training and development, and leading on team-based Health & Safety measures and requirements for the office/outreach locations you oversee.

 

This role works collaboratively with the Quality of Advice & Technical (QAT) team, to provide the pastoral care and development needs of your team alongside the QAT’s input, feedback, and supervision of team members advice work.

The Human Resources Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping, leading and delivering an effective, evidence-led People & Culture strategy that supports organisational objectives and excellent client services.

 

As a member of the Senior Management Team, the postholder will provide strategic and operational HR leadership across the organisation, ensuring a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture. The role combines long-term strategic workforce planning with the delivery of high-quality, legally compliant HR services. The postholder will support managers and leaders to build strong people management capability, promote wellbeing and engagement, and ensure organisational sustainability.

 

As a senior representative of the organisation, the Human Resources Manager will use people insight and data to identify risks and opportunities, set clear priorities, and provide robust reporting and recommendations to the Senior Management Team and Trustee Board.

  • Salary: £39,500 – £49,500 FTE per annum (Band F), pro-rata for part-time working.
